About Wante Muslim Secondary School

Wante Muslim Secondary School is a government-aided secondary school located in Mayuge District. The school was established through the efforts of the local community under a Muslim foundation with the purpose of increasing access to secondary education and creating better opportunities for young people within the surrounding communities.

Over the years, the school continued to grow in enrolment, academic programmes, infrastructure, and community involvement. It was later taken over by the Government of Uganda and became a government-aided secondary school.

Our History

Wante Muslim Secondary School began as a private secondary school established by members of the local community under a Muslim foundation. Its establishment was driven by the need to provide accessible and affordable secondary education to learners within the area.

As the school developed and its role within the community expanded, it was later taken over by the Government of Uganda and became a government-aided secondary school.

The transition strengthened the school’s ability to serve a wider population while maintaining the values and principles on which it was founded. Today, the school continues to build on this history by providing learners with opportunities to acquire knowledge, develop their talents, strengthen their character, and prepare for further education and employment.
